You can create matter extensions which allow you to link your dossier fields to the matter details screen to be filled when creating a new matter or editing an existing matter. This guide will take you through this process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To add a new Matter Extension, navigate to the \u2018Supervisor\u2019 area and select \u2018User Design\u2019. Now click on \u2018View\u2019 and then select the option to \u2018Add View\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe\nnew screen will allow you to enter the details for your new matter view.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n

\u2018Description\u2019 will be the name shown against the new View created. Please note that the \u2018Published Description\u2019 is only to be used if you have purchased the client portal which will be the description shown to your client against this new view created <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will also be given the option\nto select the \u2018Work type\u2019 and the \u2018View Type\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u2018Work Type\u2019 option will present\nyou with a list of all your available work types where you will need to select\nthe relevant one which you would like your Matter Extension to be available\nunder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u2018View Type\u2019 option will show\nyou a list of views available to create. Select \u2018Matter Extension\u2019 from this\nlist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fill in details as appropriate for the new Matter Extension to be created and select \u2018Save\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will then be taken to your list of views. Your newly created matter extension will now be available in this list. You may filter by \u2018View Type\u2019 if you wish<\/p>\n\n\n

You can right click the new extension and you will be shown the option to \u2018Edit\u2019, \u2018Link\u2019, \u2018Clone\u2019 or \u2018Delete\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
