This guide will go through creating a fee earner<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Osprey allows you to add as many fee earners as you need, regardless of your number of licenses. Licenses relate to users<\/em> who can log in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To add a new fee earner, follow the steps below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to Supervisor > Code Setup > Fee Earners, and click the New button:<\/p>\n\n\n

Enter the details as follows: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

F\/E<\/td>This is the fee earner code, usually initials, though some firms use numbers for their fee earner code. Ensure there are no spaces or any other non-alphanumeric characters in this box.<\/td><\/tr>
Fee Earner Description<\/td>The full name of the fee earner.<\/td><\/tr>
Time Spent Target (Monthly)<\/td>Fill this in if you have created reports based on this value. Not required.<\/td><\/tr>
Time Value Target (Monthly)<\/td>Fill this in if you have created reports based on this value. Not required.<\/td><\/tr>
LA Supplier No<\/td>Fill this in if the fee earner does legal aid work.<\/td><\/tr>
Fee Earner Status<\/td>Choose a value, or enter a new one to select from Supervisor > Code Setup > Fee Earner Status.<\/td><\/tr>
Phone No<\/td>Enter the fee earner’s phone number. Not required.<\/td><\/tr>
Mobile No<\/td>Enter the fee earner’s mobile number. Not required.<\/td><\/tr>
Email Address<\/td>Enter the fee earner’s email. Required.<\/td><\/tr>
Password<\/td>If using Outlook integration, enter the fee earner’s outlook password here.<\/td><\/tr>
Confirm Password<\/td>If using Outlook integration, confirm the fee earner’s outlook password here.<\/td><\/tr>
Advocate Reference<\/td>If the fee earner is an advocate, enter their reference here.<\/td><\/tr>
Supervising Fee Earner<\/td>If the fee earner is a supervisor, tick this box to enable selecting the supervising fee earner in the matter details.<\/td><\/tr>
Partner<\/td>Tick this box if the fee earner is a partner.<\/td><\/tr>
In Use<\/td>Tick this box to ensure the fee earner code can be used. <\/td><\/tr>
Advocate<\/td>Tick this box if the fee earner is an advocate<\/td><\/tr>
Grade\/Start Date\/End Date<\/td>Relates to J Code time recording. Enter the fee earner grade, start and end date.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Time Recording<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be able to time record with the new fee earner, the fee earner will need to be linked to a remuneration type. How to do so can be found in the below guide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
