This guide will take you through the Budget Analysis report<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Produces a list of Income and Expenditure Nominals for a quarter or for a period, showing the actual movement against the Nominal Budget for the period and year to date.<\/p>\n\n\n

    \n
  • Branch<\/strong> \u2013 defaults to All. Select individual branches from the drop down list<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Department<\/strong> \u2013 defaults to All. Select individual departments from the drop down list<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Currency<\/strong> \u2013 shows the default currency.  Other in use currencies can be selected from the drop down list<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Year<\/strong> – select the year you wish to report on from the drop down list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Report Type<\/strong> \u2013 Quarterly or by period<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Show Summary?<\/strong> – tick this box if you want to report by nominal header rather than nominal SAC (sub analysis code). Leave unticked if unsure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Hide Zero Budgets?<\/strong> \u2013 tick this box to hide any nominals that have a zero budget. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Grouping and Ordering<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Ordering<\/strong> – choose to order your report by Account id (nominal code) or Account name (nominal description).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    List of Columns produced<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Budget analysis by period<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • Nominal code – the code of the nominal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • SAC – the Sub Analysis Code of the nominal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Nominal Description – the description of the nominal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Period Actual – the actual amount posted in the period on the nominal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Period Budget – the budget you have set for the nominal for the period being run<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • YTD Actual – the actual amount posted in the year to date on the nominal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • YTD Budget – the total for all periods budgets entered for the year to date<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • YTD Variance – the difference between the YTD actual and the YTD budget<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Total Budget – the total budget for the year<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Total Forecast – The actual figure to date added to the budget remaining to the end of the year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Budget analysis by Quarter<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      • Nominal code – the code of the nominal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • SAC – the Sub Analysis Code of the nominal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Nominal Description – the description of the nominal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Q1 Actual – the actual amount posted in Quarter 1 (periods 1-3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Q1 Budget – the total budget entered for Quarter 1<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Q2 Actual – the actual amount posted in Quarter 2<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Q2 Budget – the total budget entered for Quarter 2<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Q3 Actual – the actual amount posted in Quarter 3<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Q3 Budget – the total budget entered for Quarter 3<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Q4 Actual – the actual amount posted in Quarter 4<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Q4 Budget – the total budget entered for Quarter 4<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • YTD Actual – the actual amount posted in the year to date on the nominal<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • YTD Budget – the total for all periods budgets entered for the year to date<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • YTD Variance – the difference between the YTD actual and the YTD budget<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Total Budget- the total budget for the year<\/li>\n\n\n\n
