See example below.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"846\" height=\"290\" src=\"https:\/\/support.ospreyapproach.com\/content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/04\/image-202.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-64456\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ospreyapproach2022.wireddemo.co.uk\/content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/04\/image-202.png 846w, https:\/\/ospreyapproach2022.wireddemo.co.uk\/content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/04\/image-202-300x103.png 300w, https:\/\/ospreyapproach2022.wireddemo.co.uk\/content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/04\/image-202-768x263.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 846px) 100vw, 846px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This can be done by transferring the balances to the bank, we will transfer them back again once the branch number has been changed in the matter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use the posting types below depending on the ledger column you need to zero:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table><thead><tr><th>Ledger Column<\/th><th>Debit Balance<\/th><th>Credit Balance<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Office\/Disbursements<\/td><td>(black balance) Use o \u2013 Office Bank Receipt<\/td><td>(red balance) Use o \u2013 Office Bank Payment<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Client<\/td><td>(red balance) Use c \u2013 Client Bank Receipt<\/td><td>(black balance) Use c \u2013 Client Bank Payment<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Deposit<\/td><td>(red balance) Use d &#8211; Deposit Receipt<\/td><td>(black balance) Use d \u2013 Deposit Withdrawal<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use <strong>the same posting date and reference<\/strong> for all of the required postings. Once you have cleared all the balances on the ledger card, edit the matter, change the branch and save your changes as above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, return to the ledger card, and post the balances back on again using the <strong><em>opposite<\/em><\/strong> posting types used in the previous step.
