{"id":63232,"date":"2024-04-24T16:20:44","date_gmt":"2024-04-24T15:20:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.ospreyapproach.com\/?post_type=pracctice_guide&#038;p=63232"},"modified":"2024-05-15T09:18:58","modified_gmt":"2024-05-15T08:18:58","slug":"customising-your-client-ledger-with-ledger-and-posting-type-views-2","status":"publish","type":"pracctice_guide","link":"https:\/\/ospreyapproach2022.wireddemo.co.uk\/support\/guides\/customising-your-client-ledger-with-ledger-and-posting-type-views-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Customising your Client Ledger with Ledger and Posting Type views"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"card\">\n\n    <p class=\"mb-2\"><strong>Who is this guide for?<\/strong><\/p>\n    <p class=\"mb-0\"><i class=\"far fa-user fa-fw mr-2\"><\/i> <strong>Accounts Users<\/strong> and <strong>Accounts Supervisors<\/strong><\/p>    \n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This guide will show you how to customise your Client Ledger so that it displays exactly as needed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Osprey allows you to customise your client ledger view to display the columns in different orders, with or without debit\/credit breakdown columns, and also to customise the posting types you can see in the drop down list &#8211; this can be useful if you have staff who are only permitted to post client ledger entries but not office or vice versa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"h2 wp-block-paragraph\">New Ledger Views<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-info wp-block-paragraph\">You will need Supervisor access to set up a new ledger view. This will enable you to decide which columns to show on the Client Ledger, and in which order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the browser, navigate to Supervisor &gt; System Setup &gt; To do this, navigate to Supervisor &gt; System Setup &gt; Users. Right click on the user you wish to assign this view to, and click Edit. This will enable you to decide which posting types to show on the Client Ledger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Navigate to Supervisor &gt; System Setup &gt; Ledger View &gt; Posting Type View. Click New. Give your new posting type view a name. Select the ledger you want to affect. Now select each of the posting types you want to grant access to and click the + icon to add them to the list. Navigate to Supervisor &gt; System Setup &gt; Users and right click to Edit the user you want to apply the view to.
